I’m not sure what you are getting at here. Scalia is simply echoing what the ENTIRE Supreme Court and all sensible individuals have said and would say. Race IS NOT a test for diversity. My skin color only makes me different from another to a racist.
Meaningful diversity, if there is such a thing, does not come from a mixing of skin colors, but from a mixing of diverse backgrounds, life experiences, goals and aspirations. Ask anyone if Alan Keyes makes the Republicans diverse, and anyone would laugh at you without thinking twice.
